Many of you may have heard that the City Commissioners of Cordele, Ga. voted 3 to 1 to illegally removed the Crisp County Confederate Monument that was erected in 1911. Their main argument was they received an 8,000 signature petition from those who want the Veterans monument removed.
Currently our Attorneys are looking into what our legal options are, but in the meantime lets work to surpass the 8,000 signatures from the haters by signing this petition started by UDC President Renee Sullivan of the Sidney Lanier Chapter.

Please sign this petition to send a message to the Cordele City Council to keep the Confederate monument in its place. Encourage city council members to educate themselves and their constituents to dispel the hatred, racism, and intolerance held by those who want the monument removed. Share this petition.
