Need Volunteers to March in the Marietta 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 3
With the chinese virus last year we missed our annual parades and events we typically attend. Its important we continue to show our local communities that we are still active and are standing our ground.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans have been invited to participate in the Marietta 4th of July Parade again this year. There is typically 30,000 plus parade goers and with everything opening back up there should be more.
We get a very heart warming reception from the crowd every year, they are always glad to see us in uniform and flags flying. Best of all we are able to fire our muskets along the parade route, which gets cheers and standing ovations all around.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to come and join us this year. We need uniforms Soldiers, Ladies in Period Dress, and just any Member to come join us.
The Parade is on Saturday July 3, we start staging between 8am to 9am and the Parade begins at 10 am at the Roswell Street Baptist Church. There will be bus transport us back to the Church at the end of the parade route.
The Church’s address is 774 Roswell St. NE, Marietta, Ga. 30060. We are in section #85.
We would be very grateful if you can come and join us. Please contact me at or call me at 404.456.3393 if you can make it or need any additional information.
Thank you.
